Snooze

Oh the snooze button, this is definitely the one thing most people will agree that it is a true blue, “love/hate relationship. The responsible side of you is telling, “Ok you KNOW, you HAVE to hear the alarm and get out of bed”! But then there is that little voice, we all hear whispering in our subconscious. Oh but you can set the alarm time about ten full minutes different from the actual time. By doing this you trick yourself into believing that you will be winning over the clock, with respect to the extra few minutes you get to lay in bed just because you can.

Yeah, we all have our own little tricks we like to play with the alarm clock. Whatever it is you do personally, this writer believes that it is also known as a “guilty pleasure”. Those little things we do that we know deep down we probably shouldn't. After all in the case of changing the time on the clock to reflect a ten full minutes difference, I mean who are we really winning out over? The clock? It is an inanimate object and holds no feelings. Its only purpose is to “Get You out of Bed”! At this point one should undoubtedly be asking ones self, is this necessary? Nah, but you will set that clock to trick yourself anyways.

Guilty pleasures, you are suppose to feel guilty correct? It would seem like this area of guilt is somewhat easier to overlook than other areas in life that one could feel guilty over. After all it is just an alarm clock and if we want to be a little guilty and not hurting anyone else, or their schedule, hey what can it hurt?

Before long you will probably have you spouse adopted to the new time on the bedside clock, and not even realize that the one he just looked at in the kitchen was set ten minutes later, than the one on the bedroom. See now your guilty little pleasures with the alarm clock have created a whole new time zone and a lazier start for you and your spouse. One day this will be noticed, and you will have to reveal your hidden little secret of trying to cheat time and lay in bed longer in the mornings. Its OK It isn't a crime really, just laugh and explain your coo key ways and whys. Then tonight set it the same way you always have!
