http://www.

Temptation dates back to Genesis but those were the days when technology was still non-existant.Adam and Eve just had to deal with fruity sweet-tooth temptations.Wish we had it that easy.
But how are we supposed to resist the farming and mafias, the pokes and likes, the updates and comments. You all know what I'am talking about.Yes the very addictive monster networking site FACEBOOK.It tops my Guilty Pleasures List.Every time I switch on my computer my cursor very automatically clicks facebook from favorites. And assignments and exams act like catalysts for facebook. It becomes all the more tempting.
But should we feel guilty about facebook. It is quite obvious that a trade off is happening between the advantages and disadvantages of Facebook. While it increases the communication and connection between friends and the online community it also increases the risk of procrastination and makes it easier for others to stalk a user. Worse, some are actually punished for what they put on their profile and would claim that it was there only for fun.
Despite the above mentioned advantages and disadvantages of an online networking service, it still is gaining demand and popularity among the young crowd. There are about 10,000 students (professionals and young professionals not yet included) who are joining into Facebook every day. This is regardless of the age, race and country. Some are now trying to criticize the status of professionalism of this site whether it's just another fad like other online networking services are.
End of the day I feel facebook is nearing necessity for today's lifestyle.Networking is a must and if we have an easier way there is nothing like it then. But for addicts like me it is a guilty pleasure.

  2. I suppose Twitter is a bigger gulty pleasure than Facebook. It's a Micro-Bloging site which involves sharing intimate details of daily life with various followers, Facebook has an option of not sharing and not accepting friends, whereas in Twitter its as easy as clicking a button to follow someone and comment and Retweet what they have to blog about.
